We are excited to announce the launch of our new grant application format, effective for the November 1, 2016 proposal deadline. Below are PDF documents to help you successfully prepare and submit a funding request.
Please read What We Fund carefully to determine if your organization’s programs or projects meet our funding criteria. Organizations may also complete the Eligibility Quiz to help determine their suitability for a grant from The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation.
Eligible organizations, including current grantees requesting a new grant, begin the application process by submitting a proposal through our online application system.
Before you begin your application, we suggest you print the PDF documents below, to be sure to submit a complete application. Please note the online application has individual text boxes that coincide with the numbered questions in the Narrative guideline below:

SPECIAL NOTE FOR ARTS AND HUMANITIES ORGANIZATIONS: The Foundation requires arts and humanities applicants to submit organizational and financial data via the Cultural Data Profile (DCP) of DataArts (formerly Cultural Data Project). When submitting a grant application to the Foundation, please attach a copy of your organization’s CDP Cafritz Funder Report. We request that at least two years’ worth of closed-book financials be included in the CDP. As DataArts is a national database, once your CDP has been completed for one state, it is accessible to others: for example, organizations in Maryland do not have to complete a separate data profile for the District of Columbia. Visit www.culturaldata.org to complete your CDP. If you need assistance, contact the CDP Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please allot enough time to complete the CDP prior to applying to the Foundation.
As noted in What We Fund, the Foundation does not generally fund capital requests. However, if you have spoken to a member of our staff and still wish to apply for capital support, in addition to submitting the Organization and Project Narrative and Attachments through the online application system, please also submit the Capital Project Narrative and Capital Project Attachments to the Foundation by mail.
