The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation board and staff remember with gratitude the life of our leader, mentor, and friend Calvin Cafritz.

Through his dedication to the Foundation and his beloved Washington, DC community, Mr. Cafritz was deeply committed to building a more just and beautiful region with access to opportunities for all. He never tired of committing himself to this mission, which only grew bigger with time. The world is a better place thanks to his wisdom, generosity, and leadership. He extended kindness to everyone he met, and his humble spirit knew no bounds.
